Kim Cattrall toasted to her starring role in How I Met Your Father in the best way, with her beloved pooch TJ by her side, and a glass of something fizzy.
How I Met Your Mother ended back in 2014, with fans desperate for another fix of the CBS drama, and they finally got their wish granted this week.
One person who takes on a huge role in the 10-part series is Kim, who plays the future version of lead character Sophie – played in the present day by Hillary Duff.
Talking to her son from the year 2050, she tells him the story of how she met his father, following a similar pattern to its predecessor.
After the pilot episode aired on Tuesday, Kim gave fans a sneak insight into how she celebrated in the best way.
Instead of getting glammed up and going out on the town, Kim shared an adorable snap from the comfort of her sofa with her four-legged friend.
Dressed in a grey knitted turtleneck sweater, dark trousers and baseball cap, she wrote: ‘TJ and I getting ready to watch the first episode of How I Met Your Father tonight on @.’

They soon flooded the comments with love, praising Kim for her new role in the series.
One shared: ‘I loved it so so much!!! Congrats!’ with a fan adding: ‘Loving it so far! Seeing you on screen is the best.’
‘It’s so good!! Missed you on my TV,’ another wrote.
The series is already flooded with nostalgia and nods to its predecessor, with Sophie living in Ted Mosby’s apartment
Across the hall is Jesse (Christopher Lowell) n aspiring musician who works as an Uber driver, living in Ted, Marshall and Lily’s old apartment.
The pilot also paid tribute to late star Bob Saget, who voiced the older version of Ted in the show’s predecessor for nine seasons.
A title card broadcast at the end of the episode read ‘In Loving Memory of Bob Saget.’
The beloved comedian, famed for starring in US sitcom Full House, was pronounced dead in his hotel room in Orlando, Florida earlier this month at the age of 65.
When news of Saget’s death was announced, Alyson Hannigan – who starred in How I Met Your Mother as Lily Aldrin – honoured him by sharing a photo of the comedy’s cast on Instagram.
‘One of my favorite memories of Bob was when I was babysitting his daughter Aubrey. I was 15, she wasn’t feeling well, and I couldn’t get her to sleep or stop crying,’ she wrote in the caption.
‘Bob came home and took her in his arms, played a Tracy Chapman song on the stereo and danced with her until she fell asleep on his shoulder.
‘It was such a beautiful and significant moment for me and I’m sure just one of a million moments like that for them. He was a wonderful Dad and human. I love you Bob. RIP’.
Meanwhile, Josh Radnor – who played Ted Mosby in the sitcom – dubbed Saget the ‘kindest, loveliest, funniest, most supportive man’ in a Twitter thread.
