Big Brother has only been on the air for a week, yet we can’t picture our lives without the group.
How will we cope in six weeks when we don’t know what Yinrun, Farida, and Jordan are up to?
We’re already saying goodbye to one face in the first eviction tomorrow.
There might be a reason why we already feel like we know the roommates.
For starters, we’ve been monitoring them for five days, but a handful of them have already had brushes with celebrity.
Let’s examine where we could have seen the latest wave of reality stars previously…
Zak – ASOS
The 28-year-old from Manchester entered the residence, declaring himself to be a male model.
It didn’t take long for viewers to recognise where they’d seen Zak doing his finest posing – he’s a regular on the ASOS website. There are 26 million active consumers on the fashion website, so many of us have probably seen his face. He’s also worked with BoohooMan, a prominent quick fashion business.
Kerry – Deal or No Deal
Kerry hopes to earn £100,000 by winning Big Brother, but it wouldn’t be her first time winning money from a TV show.
She previously appeared on Noel Edmonds’ Deal or No Deal, when she walked out of the studio for an astounding £35,000.
The 40-year-old’s 2007 visit was particularly notable for the unique conditions – the set was darkened owing to a power outage.
Henry – TikTok
If you’re a regular on FoodTok, you’ve probably seen Henry’s face before. The culinary writer has over a thousand followers on social media, where he posts information.
The 25-year-old isn’t the only one who dabbles with influencing…
Farida – Blankety Blank and Come Dine with Me
If you saw tonight’s programme, you may have heard Farida remark a few times that she has a small following for her beauty videos, in which she specialised in applying glam for the traveller population.
Farida, 50, has already been on television, as a participant on Blankety Blank, with former Big Brother presenters Emma Willis and Rylan.
During the episode host Bradley Walsh asked her: ‘Farida, when I’m on telly, I aspire to be more like Rylan Clark. The trouble is, he’s got way more [blank] than me.’
Farida had scrawled ‘jazz’ on her whiteboard to reveal the solution, and the studio audience burst out laughing.
In 2019, she also appeared on the show Come Dine With Me, in which a group of strangers throw dinner parties for each other and rate their efforts out of ten. During the episode, Farida immersed her guests in true Indian culture.
Dylan – The Last Leg
Dylan, 39, said before of his appearance on Big Brother that he had starred on comic chat programme The Last Leg, helmed by comedians Adam Hills, Alex Brooker, and Josh Widdicombe.
‘I appeared on a TV show called The Last Leg about amputees – two years before I lost my leg,’ he shared.
The Coventry DJ lost his leg as a result of complications following a motorbike accident in Tenerife in which he was struck by a taxi. Initially, physicians were able to preserve his foot, but after two years, he was told he would need a below-the-knee amputation.
Big Brother continues tomorrow on ITV2 at 9pm
