Faye Winter, star of the MTV show Love Island, said she was pleased with the results of her lip fillers… until she saw herself on camera.
The reality star who found love with villa-mate Teddy Soares has spoken up about the plastic surgery she’s had and how little she understood going in.
When Faye finally got her lip fillers dissolved in November 2021, it had been years since she’d done so, and she claimed she was terrified.
Faye, 27, appeared on This Morning on Thursday, where she discussed the safety of the ‘tweaks’ so many people have with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
Faye remarked, “I didn’t see that as a problem at all” because she “felt great” there.
‘I thought my lips looked great, until I came out and saw myself from a different perspective.
‘Obviously when I saw myself on the show, I was like, “Oh okay,” and no, I saw the difference, it wasn’t the comments, it wasn’t anything else, I saw it for the first time, instead of just looking in the mirror’.
She added: ‘My mum and dad definitely told me they looked big and silly, but who listens to their parents when it comes to things that they think is important?’
Faye reported that she was well informed and prepared for her first cosmetic operation, but that after that she was “never explained it again and was just left down the garden path.”
Back in November 2021, Faye shared: ‘So today is a very exciting day. I don’t know if it’s exciting or terrifying, but I’m going to get my lips dissolved and have natural lips.
‘As you’re aware one side is bigger than the other and that happened due to a lovely challenge in the villa.’
Faye proceeded by pointing out the trouble spots, saying, “And I’ve got the lump up beneath from it now which I’ve never had it before.”
‘It’s not anyone’s fault or any practitioner’s fault prior, it is purely because of the challenge and you can see that there it’s bigger as well.’
However, Faye won’t be going au naturel for too long as she then revealed: ‘So I’m going to go get them all dissolved. Have my natural lips, which I’ve not seen for years and then have them refilled next week.’
She has received a lot of positive feedback for her new, more natural appearance; some have even drawn comparisons to Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer.
