Following his scathing outbursts, Eamonn Holmes has made another covert jab at Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
The GB News anchor, who is married to Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford and is 63 years old, has been quite vocal about his views on Phil’s departure following the rumoured ‘fallout’ between the This Morning hosts.
After calling Phil, 61, and Holly, 42, ‘actors’ and enjoying a social media post about’red flags,’ Eamonn took to Twitter to reflect on a ‘excellent day’ following Phil’s departure announcement.
Now, he’s taken another jab by liking a Tweet in response to a GB News clip in which Eamonn claimed Phil was “fired.”
The Tweet read: ‘Well said @EamonnHolmes at last a presenter who says what everyone else is [and know] the crap they’re told to!!
‘An as for @thismorning top stories if that was presenters on another channel it be 1st!
‘But nope sayin nuthin! An @hollywills early hols convenient eh!’

According to ITV, the host’stepped down’, but his future on shows such as Dancing On Ice is uncertain.
‘Oh please just stop this. He was sacked. All this nonsense of “I’ve decided to step down”. I’m sure you did – here’s your P45, now step down,’ Eamonn ranted.
‘Why do we propagate this language, “I’ve decided to step down”. And she says: “Oh, the couch will not be the same without him being there”.
‘Well, she wanted him not there. So what is she moaning about the couch not feeling the same for? They deserve each other I suppose.’
This follows the announcement that Holly would take an early half-term leave from This Morning, with Alison Hammond and Craig Doyle filling in.
On Saturday, May 20, Phil announced his retirement, stating, ‘I’ve always been proud to cover intriguing subjects on This Morning. However, This Morning has recently become the topic.
‘Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.
‘I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
‘So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future.’
Holly added: ‘It’s been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour.
‘The sofa won’t feel the same without him.’
Reportedly, their relationship had ‘tempered’ prior to Phil’s departure.
While they have continued to present a united front on the This Morning sofa, and Phil recently stated that they are “still the best of friends,” rumours have continued to swirl, with reports escalating to claims that Phil is “refusing to quit This Morning” and a source describing the situation as a “unstoppable train.”
In the meantime, a recent insider alleged that Holly considered quitting the programme, claiming that “by removing herself from the situation, she would be better able to protect herself.”
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
