Sixth season of Selling Sunset has been filled with drama, and the turmoil continues for newcomer Nicole Young.
Nicole, who is 37 years old and has worked with the Oppenheim Group for some time, made her début as a full-time staff member on the Los Angeles-based real estate reality show this year.
From opulent millionaire residences to a glamorous and drama-filled office, Selling Sunset has captivated audiences for six seasons, with the most recent season having just debuted on Netflix.
Even though season seven has not yet premiered, there is still a lot going on on Sunset Boulevard in the aftermath of Nicole and Chrishell Stause’s major fallout.
In the first episode of the most recent season, Chrishell and Nicole, both 41 years old, locked antlers and never looked back.
Citing a real estate transaction that occurred three years ago as the reason for her dislike of Chrishell, their dispute escalated into, as they say, ‘below the belt’ accusations.
During a disastrous weekend ‘break’ from the office to Palm Springs, their relationship descended into pandemonium when Chrishell accused Nicole of appearing drugged.
After threats of legal action and defamation lawsuits, the pair’s season ended on something of a cliffhanger.
Some viewers have reportedly sent Nicole murder threats in response to the series, despite the fact that (edited) reality television requires viewers to take everything with a grain of salt.
According to TMZ, the sources close to the star say that on top of the death threats, Nicole is facing ‘meth addict accusations’ and ‘hateful speech’.
The publication went on to say some fans had got hold of her phone number and address, and now that they are apparently targeting her family too it is ‘impacting her mental health’ and forcing her to back out of media opportunities for fear of backlash.
Despite their ongoing, er, differences, Chrishell took to Instagram today to tell fans to cool it with Nicole.
‘It’s been brought to my attention that Nicole’s camp is reporting receiving death threats to several outlets,’ she began.
‘Being on a reality show on such a huge platform makes for an influx of feedback and I am certainly not a stranger to death threats after 6 seasons.
‘Your opinions help make this show what it is & clearly I have my own. But let’s keep it fun please.’
