Dermot O’Leary has quietly criticised Carol Vorderman’s love life.
The This Morning anchor, 50, made the cheeky comment while hosting the show with Alison Hammond on Friday.
During a show hosted by astrologer Hagan Fox, viewers were encouraged to call him if they had any questions about their future, and he would then explain what the stars had in store for them.
Sara contacted, seeking to know which path she should take in her love life before divulging certain details about her situation.
‘I’m in a bit of a love square…,’ she revealed as Alison interrupted: ‘Did you say love square?’
Sara and Dermot broke out laughing as she explained her dating quandary and admitted she was seeing three men.
‘Wow. Interesting,’ Alison quipped.
Soon after Dermot cheekily added: ‘You wouldn’t be Carol Vorderman, would you?’
Carol, 62, normally comes on the final episode of the week for the breakfast show, but she was not there today and has yet to respond to the clever joke.
However, the former Countdown star spoke out about her love life earlier this year.
Carol stated she’d spent a decade fine-tuning her dating life to best suit her needs and goals after revealing she had five “close buddies.”
She said that she had been dating several of her “close pals” for many years and had “long-term relationships” with them.
Carol subsequently told The Sun, ‘I don’t understand why my behaviour should change just because I’m getting older.
‘Every romcom tells women to look for love and live happily ever after. It’s all nonsense.
‘We sell every little girl the message: “Cinderella needs a prince to save her.” Yet half of marriages end in divorce.’
Explaining how she wasn’t into one-night stands, Carol said she was ‘very happy’ with her arrangement.
This Morning airs weekdays at 9am on ITV1.
