Following rumours that Taylor Swift is dating the 1975’s Matty Healy, the Loose Women are already planning for her to appear on his mother’s ITV daytime show.
While Denise Welch was not on the panel on Thursday, her co-stars Judi Love and Charlene White discussed Taylor’s new relationship speculation.
The revelation of this rumoured romance comes after the Love Story singer allegedly ended her six-year relationship with her actor lover Joe Alwyn.
Taylor and Matty are allegedly on the verge of going public with their romance and are’madly in love,’ albeit it is still’super-early days’ for them.
According to the insider, the two were previously intimately linked for a brief period of time over a decade ago, but ‘timings simply didn’t work out’ at the time.
Taylor, 33, has previously met Matty’s mother, Denise, when the two posed for a backstage photo during The 1975’s London concert in January.
‘Apparently our Denzy’s son, 1975 frontman Matty Healy, is dating Taylor Swift,’ Charlene said in response to the rumours.
‘Now you guys will know as much as we do, so we can’t confirm or deny anything, of course we can’t, but say it were true, should we be buying a hat? Will we be going to the wedding?
‘Should we have Taylor on the show? It’s very exciting!’
‘Wow! That’s a lot of questions,’ Judi laughed back.
‘They would make a great couple!’ Jane Moore agreed, as Charlene commented: ‘And Denzy could be her mother-in-law!’
She then hinted at intentions to include Taylor in their programme, stating, ‘there’s a whole universe of things we could do with Taylor,’ including incorporating her into the Loose Women choir.
‘She’d be in the family!’ Charlene joked, with Judi saying she’s like ‘Aunty’ now.
Charlene continued: ‘She’ll suddenly have all these new aunties, that love her, want to go to her gigs, want her to add them on Instagram, you know, the lot!’
Although the romance rumours have yet to be confirmed, the panel was just as excited as the rest of us.
‘Both Matty and Taylor have been touring over the past few weeks, so it’s been a lot of Face-Timing and texting but she cannot wait to see him again,’ a source told The Scottish Sun.
The insider said that they are both ‘incredibly supportive of their respective careers’, as they ‘understand the pressures’ of each other’s jobs ‘better than anyone’.
‘They are both massively proud and excited about this relationship and, unlike Taylor’s last one – which was very much kept out of the spotlight, deliberately – she wants to “own” this romance, and not hide it away,’ they asserted.
‘Taylor just wants to live her life, and be happy. She’s told pals Matty is flying to Nashville over the weekend to support her on the next leg of her tour.’
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV1.
