Chris Eubank was firmly put in his place by fellow Scared of the Dark contestant Chris McCausland in scenes that aired on Monday night.
After earlier grieving over his son Sebastian’s untimely death in 2021, the boxer was confronted by the comedian for slamming the group and growing annoyed.
McCausland, 45, took Eubank, 56, aside for a private conversation about his actions.
‘I would like you to stop telling people how to behave and not be themselves,’ McCausland said.
‘This is people being themselves… you trample on their spontaneity and they need to be themselves.’
He continued: ‘What I’m saying to you sir, is that everybody feels slightly lectured. You talk to people like you’re boxing, you know, jab, jab, jab, jab.’
Eubank replied: ‘Well, I’ll tell you this. Be yourselves but be a bigger superstar than me.’
Later speaking in the confessionals, McCausland admitted: ‘I don’t mind telling him.
‘I mean, he’s not going to knock me out is he? I’m the only one helping him get around – he’d be f***ed without me!’
Viewers praised McCausland for attempting to preserve the peace in the group and contacting Eubank.
One Twitter user remarked, ‘Love that Chris McCausland isn’t scared to tell Eubanks he’s acting like an awful jerk.’
Another person had a similar feeling, saying, ‘Chris Mac is absolutely amazing.’
Later in the episode, McCausland and Eubank were both shackled to each other as part of an assignment.
The two demonstrated their worth by winning the task and receiving a trip to the light room.
Reflecting on their time together, McCausland said: ‘I think we bonded today.’
Scared of the Dark continues on Tuesday at 9pm on Channel 4.
