During the current episode of Celebrity Bake Off, Paddy McGuinness’ unlucky gingerbread showstopper had fans in stitches.
The Top Gear host, 49, competed against Inbetweeners actor Joe Thomas, Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan, and former Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Taylor in the last episode, which aired on Easter Sunday.
Things don’t go as planned for Paddy, who uses colourful words as things actually start coming apart.
In honour of his hometown of Bolton, the TV personality sought to construct a gingerbread chimney for the final task.
‘Bolton is a mill town,’ he explained. ‘When I grew up in the seventies I could see chimneys everywhere.’
The comic stated that his masterpiece would consist of 150 5ft tall gingerbread rings, but Paddy was forced to restart after his’shaft’ cracked after he removed it from the oven.
Paddy then used adhesive tape to wrap the gingerbread around a stick and topped it with a strawberry.
Feeling defeated he said: ‘I left the chimney at that and made a couple of rings.’
Viewers couldn’t help but poke fun at the end result, with one writing: ‘Paddy’s limp biscuit kebab erection is surely going into the Bake Off history books.’
‘Paddy just embraced the chaos from the start and I respect that,’ another added.
Paddy himself even poked fun at his blunder on Twitter.
‘Nailed it,’ he penned alongside a screenshot of him and his phallic-esque creation.
‘I’m holding Hollywood to account for my erection!’
Other contestants, like Gemma and Jesy Nelson, have experienced issues with their bakes in recent weeks.
Not only was she dealing with a toppling masterpiece that fell on the floor, but she was also helped by Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, who took pity on her lack of culinary skills.
The first four episodes of Celebrity Great British Bake Off are available to stream on All4.
