An old favourite portion of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is poised to return, which is great news for fans.
The popular entertainment show, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, will return in 2024.
The award-winning show, however, will be taking a hiatus after that, with Ant and Dec aiming to go on a high note following 20 years of Saturday night mayhem on our screens.
So it only seems fair that they bring back Little Ant and Little Dec, doesn’t it?
Not only that, but a cheeky chappy in your life might end up on TV, as the Geordie combo is looking for new mini-mes.
Yes, the hunt for a fresh new tiny Ant & Dec has begun, with ITV seeking for two Newcastle lads aged five to seven.
In an announcement video, Ant jokingly began: ‘Hi everyone, Ant and Dec here, bringing you some breaking Saturday Night Takeaway news.’
‘As you know, the next series of Saturday Night Takeaway is out 20th and we’re working around the clock to make it bigger and better than ever,’ said Dec.
‘Now, the breaking news is, we’re bringing back Little Ant and Dec!’, Ant added.
‘Although, there is a little bit of a problem,’ Dec teased. ‘You see, the old Little Ant and Dec are just that – they’re a bit old.’
‘They’re not little anymore!’, Ant agreed. ‘We need a new Little Ant and Dec.’
‘So, if you know any Geordie lads aged between five and seven, then let us know.’
‘Oh, very importantly, they have to be cheeky!’, he added.
Dec stated that ‘the cheekier the better’, urging’mams and dads’ at home to contact him.

Applications close on October 1.
The original Ant and Dec are now fully grown men with their own professions and families.
On their successful programme, Little Ant (James Pallister) and Little Dec (Dylan McKenna-Redshaw) played Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s younger equivalents.
They frequently caused havoc on site and had the opportunity to question celebrities such as Katie Price, Will Smith, and even the Beckhams.
Ant and Dec even met Diana Ross once and serenaded her with a rendition of Geordie hymn Fog on the Tyne.
They were last seen on TV in 2006, and in 2010, they were replaced by Neil Overend and Haydn Reid, who were five and six at the time.
Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway returns to ITV and ITVX in 2024.
