Andy Cohen’s reaction to realising he swore on TV was comical as he gets caught up in the moment while addressing his displeasure with a viral TikTok fad.
The Watch What Happens Live anchor accidentally unleashed an F-Bomb during his ‘Jackhole of the Day’ segment.
Andy, 54, was pleading with fans not to include him in a social media craze in which individuals prank their loved ones by telling them that their favourite star has died unexpectedly.
Angela Bassett’s 16-year-old son recently joined the trend before apologising for acting as if her Black Panther co-star Michael B Jordan had died.
Andy, clearly not amused by the pranks, made it clear to those watching at home that he didn’t want to be tagged in films to see how people reacted to news of his supposed demise.
‘For the last two weeks people have been sending me videos of their loved ones being told I’m dead,’ he said.
‘I have no desire to experience people’s reactions to me dying. I am scared enough of dying in reality without having to watch bizarre simulations of it over and over again.
‘So let me be clear, don’t make, distribute or tag me in any f***ing,’ he said before catching himself.
Quickly realising his mistake, his reaction was hilarious as his face dropped and he covered his mouth.
Ever the professional, he didn’t flinch and kept going, adding: ‘…Andy Cohen death reaction videos you freaks.’
‘Why is this even a thing? It’s not even funny.’
However, afterwards he added that it was ‘the first time’ that he’d ever sworn on the show, before some members of the audience cheered.
Making one last comment on the trend, Andy said he was ‘very touched by your tears, but then horribly depressed’ watching the videos.
‘Stop now you TikTokkers,’ he added.
After the show, Andy also shared a photo of his swearing gaffe on Twitter, writing: ‘First time in 13 1/2 years!!! Sorry guys!’
While production was able to catch the swearing just in time and bleep it out for viewers at home, no-one seemed to be too mad, instead laughing off the blunder.
‘That made my night. I love it,’ one fan wrote on Twitter.
‘It was completely warranted’, another added.
It’s not the first time this week a TV host has got into hot water when discussing the trend.
An Australian reporter was told off by her co-hosts when joking that retired cricketer Glenn McGrath had died after they presented a segment on the videos sweeping the internet.
Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen airs on Bravo TV in the US.
