Since it debuted on Amazon Prime Video shortly before Christmas, Saltburn has provided a variety of drama.
There has been a lot of discussion about the film’s graphic moments, which aren’t exactly family-friendly, but have left audiences captivated by the very unsettling picture.
Emerald Fennell’s pitch-black comedy drama stars Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi from Priscilla, Rosamund Pike, Carey Mulligan, and Richard E. Grant and follows a young Oxford student in 2006 as he spends the summer with his friend’s affluent family in Saltburn.
The film’s celebratory ending, in which Keoghan as Oliver Quick dances nude and happily to Sophie Ellis Bextor’s Murder on the Dancefloor around the enormous country home after succeeding in his homicidal scheme, gets viewers heated up.
The Oscar nominee, 31, has now appeared to disclose that he was totally exposed for the moment, presumably refusing the use of a prosthesis, which has stunned admirers.
Talking in an interview in November, he explained to Entertainment Weekly: ‘The initial thing was about me having no clothes on. I’m a bit, ehhh. But after take one, I was ready to go. I was like, “Let’s go again. Let’s go again.”
‘You kind of forget, because there’s such a comfortable environment created, and it gives you that license to go, “All right, this is about the story now”.’
Keoghan, who will next be seen in Apple TV Plus’s Masters of the Air miniseries, said it ‘absolutely felt right’ to strip down when Fennell asked him to.
He added: ‘It’s ownership. This is my place. It’s full confidence in, “I can do what I want in this manor. I can strip to my barest and waltz around because this is mine.” Yeah… it was fun.’
As the film has begun to be watched by more fans on Amazon Prime Video over the past few days, the discourse on social media platform X has gone wild for this apparent revelation.
‘THEY’RE SAYING BARRY KEOGHAN WASN’T WEARING A PROSTHETIC IN SALTBURN AND THAT WAS HIS REAL SWANGIN’ HOG?!?! Please tell me it’s true,’ exclaimed Emma Tolkin, while Phil Hatfield mused on the actor who ‘memorably let it all hang out’.
‘It’s the fact that barry keoghan did not use a prosthetic…… SIR!’ added user @veggaass.
‘Not me freshly out of watching Saltburn and immediately searching if Barry Keoghan was using a prosthetic only to find out he wasn’t,’ shared user @giulslilsadmoon.
Meanwhile @daddyxanax_ admitted: ‘Saltburn ruining families during Christmas Eve and Gaby and I were just wondering whether Barry Keoghan’s d**k was prosthetic or not.’

Barry Keoghan looks old and young at the same time……also, if “THAT” was real and not a prosthetic, he is NOT lacking.

‘Rosamund Pike saying “just beautiful” while she stares at Barry Keoghan fully f***ing naked dancing through Saltburn. She’s so valid for that honestly,’ mused @AyaReina.
Ahead of the film’s release, Fennell warned that she and the cast did ‘go to places that are quite extreme’.
‘We were all very, very dedicated to make something incredibly personal and unique and honest feeling, and in many ways, a lot of Saltburn is a little exposing or complicated,’ she said.
‘And I say that as the person who thought it in the first place! So if anyone should be asking any sort of questions about sanity, for example, they should leave them maybe at my door….’
Saltburn is streaming now on Amazon Prime Video.
