The ultimate gender reveal party was given by Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian.
The couple, who already adore their daughter Olympia, who is five years old, recorded all the shenanigans in a YouTube video. The moment the gender of their second kid was revealed was fairly amazing.
Reddit co-founder Alexis, 40, carried Olympia in his arms as he and his 41-year-old wife watched the sky in anticipation of an amazing drone light show that would announce the gender of their unborn child.
When the word “girl” was eventually written in the night sky, tennis pro Serena smiled.
Olympia will be a big sister!
While getting ready for the celebration earlier in the video, Serena said she was “team pink,” stating she’d be “unprepared” if she was having a baby boy.
During the party, Alexis played a cheeky prank on Serena, revealing he’d ordered a cake with yellow filling so that when Serena cut into it to reveal if they were expecting a boy or a girl, she’d be left confused.
Speaking in a YouTube video, he told the camera: ‘I’m doing this because I want to troll her and Olympia into thinking that this is the reveal of Jelly Bean.
‘She will cut into this cake and probably be disappointed and hopefully appreciate my troll. But, we’ll see.
‘I don’t know if she’s gonna be a professional about it. She might see this cake come out, roll her eyes, and say, “This guy had one job and he gave me a goddamn cake gender reveal”.’
He added: ‘But we’ll see. there’s a reveal after the reveal.’
When Serena saw the filling, she hysterically pretended to squish the yellow cake into her husband’s face.
On the red carpet of the 2023 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City in May, the pro athlete made her pregnancy announcement.
