Sam Ryder displayed the outcomes of his eye surgery following the removal of a lump.
The 34-year-old 2022 Eurovision runner-up is now sporting a fiercely red and swollen eye as a result of the treatment that she had over the weekend.
But in typical Sam fashion, he keeps a smile on his face and continues to do what he enjoys.
The singer of Space Man updated his followers while having a good time backstage at Vegan Camp Out.
One of his bandmates was seen in photos humorously simulating to hit him in the eye socket.
He wrote in his Instagram caption to his 4.4million followers: ‘Had some surgery to remove a lump above my eye’.
Assuring fans there was no cause for concern, he added: ‘Should be all good though, nothing to worry about 🙏’.
‘Anyway, the best medicine was a weekend full of music with my pals and singing my head off with you all!’, he concluded.
Sam then joked: ‘Ps. sorry for jumping around, Doc 🤕’
Fans flocked to the comments to wish Sam well, more than pleased to see him bouncing around on stage and belting out his tunes.
‘Looks like sick eye make up I love it 😂😂’, one person joked.
‘Sam, all credit to you for not letting your fans down. However, please look after yourself!! We need you in one piece! ❤️❤️❤️’, another wrote sweetly.
‘Can’t imagine you sitting still for very long Sam😜’, one fan quipped.
Sam posted a photo of himself meeting Noel Gallagher on social media as well.
However, everyone was forced to draw attention to the glaring disparity in their facial expressions.
Sam was flashing the peace sign and beaming from ear to ear, while Noel was standing there looking much more serious with his hands in his pockets.
‘I love how stoney faced Noel Gallagher is, despite your cheerful presence!’, one person laughed.
‘Noel looks like an introvert who’s been adopted by an extrovert 😂’, commented another.
After coming in second place to Kalush Orchestra in the Eurovision Song Contest, Sam has seen tremendous success with his music over the last year.
This year’s event was conducted in the UK on behalf of the nation due to the current conflict in Ukraine, with Liverpool serving as the host city.
But astonishingly, despite his sudden rise to stardom, Sam still doesn’t think his voice is perfect. We find that hard to believe as well.
Sam said: ‘You know, I don’t think I’ll ever hit an age where I think, “Great I’ve got [singing] nailed”.’
‘I still hear myself back – even from last night’s show – and think, “I’ve got to work on that tone-wise”.
‘No one masters this [profession]. And you have to accept that your voice changes over the years. But I wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t been singing at weddings for years, playing to an audience who doesn’t really care, working to no applause – that’s when you learn your lesson [about performing].’
