Perrie Edwards talked out about naming her kid and explained the reason behind his name with her social media fans.
The Little Mix singer, 30, and her footballer fiancé, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 29, are expecting their first child in August 2021.
She has now commented about how the celebrity couple decided on his name and disclosed his entire name on Instagram.
On Wednesday, the celebrity had a Q&A session on her Stories, where she spoke openly about her life and answered questions from fans.
In amongst the requests, one comment box left: ‘How did you decide on the name Axel for your baby?’
Perrie typed out a reply and let the fan know: ‘His name is Axel Xander, like his Dadda Alexander,’ followed by a cut faced emoji.
The actress has already spoken up about being a new mother and managing the hurdles that come with it.
She said that she was no stranger to seeking guidance from internet forums, which made her feel less alienated as she struggled to come to grips with parenthood.
Perrie told MailOnline: ‘I love Mumsnet! Oh my god, I love it. It’s so good. Every time I get worried about something I’ll just type it into Mumsnet and find what all the different mums are saying about whatever it is.
‘It’s helped me not to feel alone because it’s like you’ve got loads of women there who are in the same boat and they all just get it. It’s so nice. I love it.’
Aside from seeking advice from other mothers on the internet, the singer may confide in her bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who gave birth to twins only days before Perrie went into labour.
Despite splitting up in 2017, the girlband, which also comprised Jade Thirlwall and formerly Jesy Nelson, stayed closer than ever as they backed Leigh-Anne’s solo career.
Taking to TikTok, Perrie posted a video of herself dancing to the singer’s new release Don’t Say Love and penned a caption that read: ‘I am OBSESSED with this absolute banger!,’ to which Leigh-Anne fondly replied: ‘MY QUEEN’.
