Following a big revamp, Victoria’s Secret has debuted a new ad with some familiar angelic faces and new ‘Icons.’
This is the lingerie brand’s first major collection since retiring in 2018 due to outrage over body standards and a non-inclusive attitude.
Instead of the traditional ‘angels,’ there is now the VS Collective, which consists of seven brand ambassadors and powerful women who are not all models.
The Icon collection features Victoria’s Secret luminaries like Adriana Lima, Gisele Bündchen, and Candice Swanepoel, as well as some fresh faces like Hailey Bieber, Emily Ratajkowski, and Paloma Elsesser.
While all of the ladies appear stunning, Hailey’s photos revealed a delicate tattoo on the top of her thigh that fans seldom see owing to the private nature of the location.
The cursive writing near her crotch says ‘baby,’ the title of the classic song that made him famous, and is assumed to be an homage to spouse Justin Bieber.
Hailey has other little tattoos all over her body, but this one is usually concealed from view unless the influencer participates in a lingerie photoshoot.
The couple married in 2018, and the 26-year-old has other tattoos of Justin, including a ‘J’ and matching peach inkings, however this one is said to be the newest at little over a year old.
Back in May, the Rhode entrepreneur admitted that she really wants children with her husband but is terrified of establishing a family in public.
When pals Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Bella Hadid all donned wings and participated in the 2016 Victoria’s Secret annual fashion show, Hailey was passed over for a coveted slot.
She now stands beside iconic supermodel Gisele, Adriana, Candice, and Naomi Campbell.
The company praised Gisele, 43, who was an Angel from 1999 to 2006, on Instagram, stating, ‘Simply put, no one does it like the original icon @gisele.’
Models such as Emily Ratajkowski, Adut Akech, and Paloma Elsesser join the fashion industry’s heavyweights for the campaign.
Priyanka Chopra Jones, Megan Rapinoe, Eileen Gu, and writer Amanda de Cadenet are all members of the VS collective but did not feature in the advertising photos.
‘We are so excited to be launching The Icon by Victoria’s Secret collection. The collection was made to enhance one’s natural shape while staying true to the supportive and seamless look that we love,’ said Janie Schaffer, Chief Design Officer at Victoria’s Secret.
‘It’s an exciting, elevated collection to add to your wardrobe, while reinforcing that we are all icons.’
The collection is available to shop now at Victoriassecret.co.uk and all Victoria’s Secret stores nationwide.
