Mod Sun let up about his grief following his split with pop diva and fiancée Avril Lavigne.
The 35-year-old artist and chart-topper, 38, divorced last week after two years together.
Mod Sun, actual name Derek Ryan Smith, sent an emotional letter on Instagram regarding the recent breakup of his relationship.
On Tuesday, he shared a series of photos and videos of himself performing on stage, along with a message that recounted the previous week of his life.
He wrote: ‘In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken.
‘Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back. See you on stage [sic]’.
Fans offered their support for the heartbroken musician on the platform with one saying: ‘No matter what happens mod, remember 5 minutes from now could be your best moment. Don’t miss it. Love you forever my friend don’t ever ever give up [sic]’.
Another noted: ‘You’ve faced bigger challenges in life and you always came out on top! She lost the best thing to ever happen to her and karma is real. You deserve better and I’m glad you will have a chance to find someone worthy of you king [sic]’.
‘Avril’s fans are on your side and we are with you. We do not understand how she could have done this. she will realize that she have lost the best person she could have by her side [sic],’ was a message left by an account on the social media networking site.
Mod Sun’s representatives had previously responded to the news, confirming that the musician and Avril ‘were together and engaged as of three days ago when he went for tour,’ according to Page Six.
Despite allegations that Avril called off their engagement after being ‘on and off’ for months, according to TMZ, the couple was seen together at a pre-Grammys party earlier this month.
