In a heartfelt statement that she wrote after becoming extremely unwell for a month, Madonna lavished love on her friends and family.
The 64-year-old star of the Material Girls was taken to the hospital late last month after being discovered unconscious and reportedly “vomiting profusely.”
The Vogue hitmaker was taken to the hospital in an ambulance when doctors discovered she had a dangerous bacterial illness, but it was subsequently reported that she was back at home and with her family.
Her 40th anniversary tour was reported to have been postponed in an earlier announcement, and she has recently provided an update in a long Instagram post.

In an Instagram post, the singer said: ‘Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love.
‘I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life.’
Before a “severe bacterial infection” caused the singer to spend several days in the intensive care unit, her manager Guy Oseary said last month, she was scheduled to launch Madonna: The Celebration Tour in Canada on July 15.
