Pregnant Shaughna Phillips has asked her admirers to refrain from sending her stories of bad delivery experiences in the run-up to her forthcoming childbirth.
The former Love Island contestant, 28, is presently expecting her first child with partner Billy Webb, 29, who is due on March 25.
The expectant mother-to-be updated her fans on her status on Instagram, revealing that she will be induced on Sunday.
However, prior to her labour being chemically induced, the reality star requested followers to refrain from pestering her with ‘horror tales’ about the procedure.
Shaughna took to her Instagram Story to offer a message after admitting that hearing stories of things going wrong was causing her “anxiety.”
She penned: ‘Polite request. Please refrain from sending me your horror stories of being induced, or your opinions on why me being induced is wrong for my baby.
‘I appreciate you may mean well, but it is not helpful. As a first-time mum, you will know the anxiety I am already feeling, and the last thing I need to hear is horrible experiences or being mum-shamed.
‘Thank you for all the lovely messages I’ve received, they far outweigh the negative ones’.
Her update comes after she revealed that she will be giving birth this weekend.
Snapping a close-up selfie of her face with her eyes closed, the star joked: ‘If I didn’t have a filter on my face one of my followers would definitely call an ambulance for me.
‘Induction booked for Sunday. My March babe clearly wants to be an April babe like her mama [sic]’.
Shaughna was hospitalised earlier this month, 10 days before her due date, and she informed fans on social media of her absence.
She said: ‘I’ve not updated you all because things were up in the air and I didn’t know what was happening myself.
‘I spent the night in hospital on Friday thinking I was going to be induced but thankfully it wasn’t needed and I was able to come and home and rest’.
The former islander also shared a video montage of her unexpected admission to the hospital ward after having to leave a job shoot to seek medical attention.
