Katie Price addressed the sad loss of her dog Blade and claimed the animal was ‘killed purposefully’ in her newest social media post.
The 45-year-old former glamour model’s late pet died after escaping from her house near the A24 highway on Sunday night.
In her caption for a close-up photo showing off her new hairstyle, the actress addressed the dog’s loss and acknowledged she was sceptical about how he died.
The mum-of-five penned: ‘Extensions out ready for new transformation literally had so much shit thrown at me and being single now and now dealing with the suspicions my dog had been killed deliberately so being investigated I need a massive change and move in my life [sic].’
She then shared a fan-created video on her Instagram stories, implying that the renowned face had launched an inquiry into the issue.
The montage showed snaps of the star with her dog and the story itself carried a message that read: ‘Somebody has killed my dog on purpose as a attack against me I’m investigating it [sic].’
Katie alerted followers to the sad news of Blade’s death also via her Instagram account after she shared a picture of the pair with a caption that read: ‘Worlds can’t express the lost of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today I have no words to say how I’m feeling but numb and shocked rip Blad [sic].’
According to The Sun, Blade was Katie’s sixth pet to die in recent years, and the reality star was chastised by animal rights organisation Peta after learning of the tragedy.
Their vice president Elisa Allen said: ‘After a seventh animal died in her custody, Katie Price should be facing more than the court of public opinion – she should face a court of law and be banned for life from keeping animals.
‘PETA urges authorities to look into Blade’s death and reminds the public that it’s not just Price who has blood on her hands.
‘Greedy breeders who keep selling or “gifting” animals to her are also to blame, as they know full well what the likely outcome will be.’
