Love Island is back on our screens, and while it’s a new set of single hopefuls hoping to find their perfect relationship (and the most Instagram followers), we recognise a few of them.
Some fans lauded the show’s’shocking’ diverse cast, which includes Molly Marsh, Tyrique Hyde, Ella Thomas, Mitchel Taylor, Ruchee Gurung, Mehdi Edno, Jess Harding, George Fensom, Catherine Agbaje, and André Furtado.
Some members of the Love Island Twitter community, who sometimes provide as many LOLs as the programme itself, accused the show of just picking ‘copy and paste’ versions of prior years’ candidates.
‘Copy my homework but make it slightly different,’ one person noted.
Other people just had fun spotting some of the similar traits…
Jess and Millie
One viewer wrote ‘hear me out…’ and attached a photo of Jess, 22, and previous champ Millie Court, 26, and people in the comments agreed with the comparison.
Both have shiny blonde hair, thick black brows, and full lips.
Jess will be hoping for Millie’s luck, since she won $50,000 and fell in love with Liam Reardon.

Luca and Mitchel
His plane seat is barely even cold, but fans are already claiming to have found 24-year-old Luca Bish’s replacement – Mitchel, 26.
The pair share a swanky/swooshy haircut, dazzling smile, and sun-kissed skin.

Tyrique and Michael
This one is less of a look, and more of a vibe. One viewer made an early prediction that he’s set to be the newest member of Destiny’s Chaldish. The group was originally founded by Michael Griffiths, Jordan Hames and Danny Williams in 2019 in reaction to their laddish antics in the villa.
Their name comes from Michael’s pronunciation of childish while criticising eventual winner Amber Gill.

Since then, the band has gone through several lineups, with some debates among Love Island watchers over who is an actual member. Toby Aromolaran from 2021 is undoubtedly in the running following his failure to commit to one lady for the whole of his time on the island.
Tyrique, 23, failed to recall meeting Ella at a London nightclub, sparking rumours that he would be joining the group. The only way to know is to wait and see.
André and Dami
Some viewers have noticed that André, 21, and Dami Hope, 27, share some physical resemblance, with some even utilising a popular Spiderman joke to prove their argument. We adore visual aids.
One thing is certain: they are both incredibly attractive men. We would not have expected anything less from Love Island!
Is it me or does this Andre guy look like Dami? #LoveIsland

Molly and Molly-Mae
The two basically share the same name, so why not also share the same facial features?
Molly-Mae Hague, 24, went on to become the most successful Love Island contestant if we’re judging on Instagram followers and reported net worth, so it’s definitely not a bad person to share similarities with.
Is it just me or does Molly (Love island, Summer 2023) remind you of Molly-Mae.. the personality and everything giving me doppelgänger energy 🤔 #LoveIsland pic.twitter.com/W9io9MGcim

We’re hoping that the entire cast will deliver just as much drama as their predecessors, as they did in the premiere episode.
Musical theatre singer Molly, 21, and gas engineer Mitchel, 26, were quite pleased in their relationship during the show, especially after realising they live only 20 minutes apart in real life, in Doncaster and Sheffield, respectively.
However, Love Island spoilers reveal that George will use his finest chat up lines on Molly.
Please pass the popcorn, or a magnum, since it’s going to be a long, hot summer…
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
