Jamie Oliver sold his eight-bedroom London house for £15 million, leaving him with a meagre £6 million profit.
The 48-year-old chef paid £8.95 million for the Highgate home in 2015, but sold it for £15 million last year, suspecting it could have improved in value a little.
According to ownership documents obtained by The Sun newspaper from the Land Registry, the purchasers intend to convert Jamie’s cherished old kitchen into an open plan living and eating space.
So, no, the purchasers aren’t just another chef in town, but FIJPTC, a trustee business for the late pornographer and strip club owner Paul Raymond, who died in 2008 at the age of 82.
‘Current kitchen has low amounts of natural light and is isolated from the living room,’ according to the paperwork submitted with Camden Council.
‘The new owner wishes to carry out a series of sensitive alterations to the property to ensure that it serves their long-term family needs, yet respects the unique historic character of the four-storey house.’
Jamie’s old townhouse is on the same street as homes previously held by late singing icon George Michael, who died in 2016 at the age of 53, and supermodel Kate Moss, 49.
The home is particularly well-known for its appearance on the Channel 4 show Keep Cooking: Family Favourites.
This comes after the renowned chef celebrated the 21st birthday of his daughter Poppy last month.
Poppy is the first of Jamie and Jools’ five children, who also include Daisy, 20, Petal, 14, Buddy, 12, and River, who is six years old.

The festivities came as Jamie confessed that he and Jools discreetly taken in hundreds of Ukrainian migrants during Russia’s incursion last year.
Jamie revealed he’s still living with the two families while appearing as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia a few months ago, while eating Ukrainian cuisine borscht.
He said: ‘Can I give you a little secret that no one really knows? I have had two Ukrainian families living with me for the, like, the last seven months.
‘We have done fundraisers with top chefs from Ukraine, so I have had my fair share of borscht.’
