Gwyneth Paltrow has expressed her outrage over Apple receiving full sex education in school.
The Iron Man actress, 50, has an 18-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old son with ex-husband Chris Martin.
During an honest interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, she discussed parenting as well as some of her most public relationships.
She told the presenter, ‘I think you have to tread softly and let them come to you,’ when it comes to managing the youngsters’ personal lives and relationships.
‘I remember my kids both went to this fantastic elementary school here in Los Angeles after we moved back from London, and they taught them sex-ed in the sixth grade.
‘I was really not prepared with the information they came home with.
‘I will never forget Apple and her best friend Emily sitting at our kitchen banquet in shock, the color drained from their face.
‘They taught them everything. Everything. Anything you’re thinking, they taught the 11-12 year olds. They’re like, “Do people do this?”‘
Elsewhere in the interview, the Oscar winner discussed some of her famous ex-boyfriends, including some shocking revelations about Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck, admitting there were many that the public was unaware of.
Spilling the showbiz beans, she claimed that Leonardo DiCaprio ‘tried back in the day’, but it didn’t go anywhere.
‘Nope, never made out with Leo…,’ she told the host. ‘He was already very loose with the goods from when he was 19.’
Gwyneth also took a trip down memory lane, recalling how she called off her engagement to Brad in 1997, after meeting on the set of Se7en.
‘I had a lot of development to do, looking back in hindsight,’ she continued. ‘In a lot of ways, I didn’t really fully start to come into myself until I was 40 years old.
‘It was the right thing at that time, but it was really hard.’
Touching on their intimate life, compared to her romance with Ben, she added: ‘Brad was like the major chemistry, love of your life at the time. Ben was like technically excellent.’
