Cher Lloyd has revealed a peek of her developing baby belly after announcing her pregnancy.
The former X Factor contestant rose to prominence at the age of 16 when she featured on the ITV show.
And, while almost everyone had Swagger Jagger stuck in their heads at some point in the months that followed, Cher’s name hadn’t been in the spotlight in a long time.
However, the artist was showered with affection earlier this week when she announced she was pregnant with her second child in a touching Instagram post.
Cher, 29, has now thanked fans for their nice sentiments and uploaded a lovely family portrait in which she shows off her pregnancy for the first time.
Cher stands in a black bodycon dress with her hand protectively over her belly, as her elder daughter comforts her and kisses her unborn brother.
She wrote: ‘Thank you for all the lovely messages, we’re over the moon 🤍.’
The Want U Back singer, who already has a daughter named Delilah-Rae Monk, confirmed her pregnancy earlier this week with a lovely video of a set of hands opening to reveal a baby scan and a newborn clothing.
‘Baby number 2, we can’t wait to meet you,’ she said in the caption.
Cher is expecting her first child with husband Craig Monk, whom she married in 2013.
She credits Craig with guiding her through difficult moments following The X Factor, as she claimed that while she achieved fame, she also faced a lot of hatred and abuse.
Cher also stated that if she had a 16-year-old daughter, she would not allow her to participate in the show.
‘I didn’t trust anyone. I thought everyone was out to get me or wanted to take the p**s out of me and ruin whatever dream I had,’ she told The Sun in 2020.
‘[Craig] came along and suddenly I had someone telling me it was going to be OK and I had to stop feeling angry and rise above it.
Having someone to support and advise me, as well as be the one who brings me delight.’
