The confirmed campmates of I’m A Celebrity All Stars are apparently in for a surprise when six surprise celebs enter the jungle.
The new ITV programme takes place in South Africa, far from the customary Australian rainforest, and pits the stars against creepy crawlies and Bushtucker Trials.
Carol Vorderman, 62, Paul Burrell, 64, Jordan Banjo, 30, Shaun Ryder, 60, Helen Flanagan, 32, Fatima Whitbread, 62, Phil Tuffnel, 56, Amir Khan, 36, and Janice Dickinson, 68 are all heading to Rainbow Nation.
Meanwhile, long-time hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will return to host the special, which will air on Monday (April 24).
I’m A Celebrity producers have never shied away from generating a commotion with the line-up, with disgraced Matt Hancock appearing as a surprise campmate in the original show last year, and it looks they’re up to their old tricks again with the spin-off.
Gillian McKeith, 63, Dean Gaffney, 45, Joe Swash, 41, Andy Whyment, 42, Myleene Klass, 45, and Georgia Toffolo, 28 will be entering the camp, according to The Sun.
ITV did not deny the rumored additions but said: ‘Any names suggested for I’m A Celebrity…South Africa other than the previously announced starter 9 line up is just speculation.’
While many facts regarding I’m A Celeb All Stars remain unknown, Ant & Dec have already hinted at what viewers might anticipate from the new season.
‘They’ve got to decide who does the Bush Tucker Trials and ultimately who leaves the show,’ Ant explained.
‘We have head-to-head Bush Tucker Trials, and the loser goes, so for them it is a far more brutal and a tougher experience than the first time around, and it has to be. We have to put them through it.’
However, the forest has proven to be dangerous for them thus far. Carol, a Countdown star, documented her interactions with South African animals on TikTok.
She explained: ‘Well, it was recorded as you know, late last year. And all of the campmates, I’m one of them, had to isolate for a week before we went into camp. So over the last week, as we lead up to the first programme going out on ITV, you are going to live that isolation with me!’
She continued: ‘The monkey attacks, the hippos, the exercising, the bikini trials, everything. You and me together, stay with me.’
I’m A Celebrity All Stars launches Monday, April 24 on ITV.
