The candidates for the Bafta TV Awards 2023’s unforgettable moment – formerly dubbed the must-see moment – are now out, with The Traitors and Derry Girls receiving mentions.
This Is Going to Hurt and The Responder both garnered six nominations in various categories at this year’s dazzling award presentation, while Bad Sisters, The Crown, The English, and Slow Horses received five nods, with Daisy May Cooper’s Am I Being Unreasonable?Big Boys receives four.
Nominations were revealed earlier this year for categories such as leading actor, best entertainment show, and live event, but fans were anxious to see who will follow in the footsteps of Strictly Come Dancing‘s Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice.
And the wait is finally over, as the candidates for the sole award in which the public may vote are now available.
The Finale of Derry Girls, Nick and Charlie’s First Kiss in Heartstopper, Paddington meeting the Queen during the late monarch’s Jubilee celebrations, and Kate Bush’s legendary Running Up That Hill in Stranger Things are among this year’s candidates.
The Traitors’ final round table discussion and Sir Mo Farah‘s revelation in The Real Mo Farah that he was unlawfully smuggled to the UK round out the lineup.
The last episode of Derry Girls focuses on the referendum to determine if the Good Friday Agreement would be approved.
The Good Friday Agreement, a pair of accords signed in April 1998 that ended much of the bloodshed of The Troubles, a political conflict in Northern Ireland that began in the late 1960s, was a key breakthrough in the Northern Ireland peace process.
The sitcom has previously garnered two nominations in various categories, including written comedy and female performance in a comedy series for Siobhan McSweeney.
