Congratulations to one X Factor contestant who has become a father for the first time!
David Heath, a member of the Liverpool-based band Eton Road, has had a kid through surrogacy with his 17-year girlfriend.
After disclosing his joyful news, the 37-year-old was bombarded with messages of congratulations, with fellow contestants eager to express their delight.
David and his boyfriend Samuel Paul shared the cutest video, with One Direction’s Little Things playing in the background, in which they lifted their hands to show a small infant resting in a crib below.
Revealing their tot’s name, they wrote on social media: ‘Jude Arblaster Heath.

The comments section was flooded with sweet messages, with Marcus Collins – runner up to Little Mix in 2011 – writing: ‘Congratulations guys ❤️’
David and Samuel have documented their whole journey to fatherhood on their joint Instagram page, Scouse Dads.
They announced that they were expecting via a surrogate back in January, sharing the sweetest video montage with the caption: ‘Your Daddies can’t wait to finally meet you 👶🏼’
Then, in March, they had a reveal party to disclose that ‘baby Heath’ was a male.
David and Samuel have shared several images of themselves with their surrogate Sarah, claiming in February that she had “changed their lives forever.”
‘When we least expected it Sarah asked to be our surrogate and we’ve been on this journey together for the last 14 months 🙏🏽 … and what a journey 🥹👶🏼’, they penned.
Eton Road were a four-piece pop band that included Anthony Hannah, Danny Morris, and Jay Edwards.
In season 3 of The X Factor, they were coached by Louis Walsh and were removed from the competition in week 7 after losing the sing-off against Ben Mills.
Leona Lewis eventually won the 2006 series.
Many X Factor participants have had children since their days on the show, including champion Leona, who has a daughter with her spouse Dennis Jauch.
Cher Lloyd, a 2010 semi-finalist, recently announced that she is expecting her second child after giving birth to a baby girl in 2018.
