The eerie first series of The Terror won over UK viewers after airing on BBC Two earlier this year, and now fans are keen for more.
Ridley Scott acted as executive producer on the series, which originally aired on AMC in the US back in 2018.
It was based on Captain Sir John Franklin’s Royal Navy expedition to the Arctic in 1845, as the explorer attempted to discover the Northwest Passage during the doomed journey.
The stellar cast included the likes of Jared Harris, Tobias Menzies, Paul Ready, Adam Nagaitis and Ciarán Hinds.
Thankfully, fans have got more episodes to look forward to in future – although they’ll look very different.
The second instalment of the anthology titled The Terror: Infamy has already been filmed and aired in the US, and focuses on a completely different story.

Infamy is set around a Japanese internment camp during World War II, and was first broadcast in the US back in 2019.
It stars the likes of Derek Mio, Kiki Sukezane, Cristina Rodlo, Shingo Usami, Naoko Mori, Miki Ishikawa and George Takei, and was co-created by Max Borenstein and Alexander Woo.
The synopsis reads: ‘Set during World War II, The Terror: Infamy centres on a series of bizarre deaths that haunt a Japanese-American community and a young man’s journey to understand and combat the malevolent entity responsible.’
While the series was first seen by viewers in the US two years ago, it has yet to receive a UK release date.
There could even be a third series on the way, too, with Deadline reporting back in 2020 that AMC was developing ideas for an upcoming run of the franchise.
AMC president, Sarah Bennett, said at the time: ‘I’m curious how we can [continue] that franchise and look at what works. We don’t just want to keep doing the same thing, what would a season three look like.’
