The Celebrity Circle has had Channel 4 viewers glued to their screens over the last few days, as famous faces take on the competition to raise money for charity.
Ahead of the Circle series three’s premiere, a star-studded cast have temporarily moved into the iconic flats in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, attempting to remain on the show for as long as possible.
So far, we’ve been treated to Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams playing (pretty terribly) as Gemma Collins, Charlotte Crosby and Lady Leshurr pretending to be Peter Andre and Big Narstie respectively, Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson catfishing the group as Rachel Riley, while Denise Van Outen and Saffron Barker have just been themselves.
Fans have been loving the celebrity edition, branding the show the perfect tonic to lockdown.
However, it was announced at the very end of Friday’s instalment that there wouldn’t be a new episode airing tonight.
Why is The Celebrity Circle not on tonight?
Last night’s episode was left on an almighty cliffhanger, with the credits rolling just as Nadia and Kaye were paying one of their fellow Circlers a visit, after ‘Gemma Collins’ was blocked.
We were on the edge of our sofa waiting to find out who they had chosen to see – but sadly the episode ended with the pair knocking on a player’s door.
If that wasn’t bad enough, it was then revealed that we’d be waiting even longer for the scenes to unfold, as a voiceover explained the next episode will be airing on Sunday.
Instead, viewers will be treated to blockbuster The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug at 6.50pm, with flick Peterloo following it.
Channel 4 also didn’t air a teaser for the footage, so we’re even more in the dark about what goes down at that already iconic meeting.
When will The Celebrity Circle return?
Thankfully, the Celebrity Circle is back on our screens on Sunday, meaning we’ll see the fallout from ‘Gemma Collins’ being blocked.
Lady Leshurr, aka ‘Big Narstie’, will have a lot of explaining to do, after her attempts to get YouTuber Saffron blocked went pear shaped, with her co-stars eventually deciding to send the GC home.
How will she manage to get herself out of that one? And will anyone suspect she’s been trying to fool them all?
The Celebrity Circle continues on Sunday, at 9pm, on Channel 4.
