The highly-anticipated semi-final of the UK’s whackiest talent show – The Masked Singer – is finally here.
Throughout the competition, judges Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, and Jonathan Ross have thrown all sorts of guesses out there regarding who the celebrities could be behind the masks, some of their predictions being way off the mark – while others were right on the money.
Tonight, Robobunny, Panda, Traffic Cone, Mushroom, and Rockhopper will give it their all to earn a coveted spot in next week’s final.
But what prize will the winner get, and who won the ITV game show last year?
Here is all you need to know.
Who won The Masked Singer last year?
Joss Stone won the 2021 series of the show, performing under the guise of Sausage.
Stone took home the crown with her powerful rendition of Rise Up By Andra Day.
After winning the competition, Joss explained that it was the perfect time for her to star on the show as she had just ‘received some very exciting news’, as she appeared on the series while pregnant.
‘Also, I am always up for a laugh and this is one of the most funny and happy things someone could do with their time,’ she said.
Robin came third in the competition, taking off his mask to reveal JLS singer Aston Merrygold.
After him, Badger took off his mask, unveiling American singer-songwriter Ne-Yo underneath.
Series one was won by Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts, who was dressed as Queen Bee.
Her final song was Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi.
What does the winner of The Masked Singer get?
While The Masked Singer UK is pretty much identical to its counterpart in the States, it does differ when it comes to the prize for the winner of the competition.
In the US, the winner of the singing show receives the coveted Golden Mask Trophy – whereas in the UK there is no prize or money awarded to the winner.
Whoever comes out on top in the UK simply gets the title of winner.
The Masked Singer semi-final airs tonight on ITV at 7pm.
