Anne Robinson could be replacing Nick Hewer as the new host of Countdown.
It was announced in December that Nick would be leaving the show after 10 years, and ever since fans have been left guessing as to who could replace him.
Teasing Nick’s replacement on social media, the official Twitter account for Steph’s Packed Lunch gave fans a Countdown conundrum to try and solve.
They penned: ‘The #countdown conundrum has been set so now it’s over to you – who do you think is the show’s new host? We’ll reveal the answer on #PackedLunchC4. Tune in now @Channel4!’
Responding to the tweet, it didn’t take viewers long to guess who it was, and they all predicted Anne Robinson.
Speaking on Monday’s instalment, presenter Steph even admitted that she has struggled to keep the news of the host a secret.
‘I’ve known for 12 hours,’ she told viewers.
After Nick revealed he would be leaving Countdown in March, fans of the show called for Colin Murray to replace him after he made his debut as host.
In December, the Radio Five Live DJ stepped in for Nick after he was forced to remain in quarantine due to being considered ‘vulnerable’.
Steph’s Packed Lunch airs weekdays at 12.30pm on Channel 4.
