Strictly Come Dancing 2020 is finally underway, bringing some much needed Saturday night sparkle to our screens in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Although the series started later than usual due to the pandemic, and has undergone a few changes – from a smaller studio audience than usual through to Bruno Tonioli missing from the judging panel due to travel restrictions – it’s proving as popular as ever, with the show even cutting off Boris Johnson in his prime in a bid to entertain viewers on Saturday night.
This weekend sees the first Sunday show of the series – but what time should you tune in, and will someone be eliminated?
Here’s what you need to know…
What time is Strictly Come Dancing on tonight?
Strictly Come Dancing is on BBC One on Sunday night at 7.15pm.
The show will last for 45 minutes ahead of the next instalment of Top Gear at 8pm.
If you miss tonight’s instalment, you’ll be able to catch up via BBC iPlayer – where you can also see the first two shows from the new series.
Will there be an elimination tonight?
Sadly, tonight’s show will see the first of this year’s couples bid farewell to the dancefloor for good.
As usual, the results of the public vote will be combined with the judges’ scores from the first two weeks with the two couples who finish in the bottom two having to duke it out for survival in the dance-off.
Both couples will reprise their routines, with the judges voting for whichever pair they want to keep in the competition, based on their dance-off performance.
As well as an elimination, Sunday night’s show will also feature a performance from Sam Smith, as well as the pro dancers taking to the floor for a group routine.
Saturday night’s show saw Maisie Smith and her dance partner Gorka Marquez heading the leaderboard, scoring an impressive 25 out of 30 for their tango.
However Jacqui Smith and Anton du Beke finished bottom of the leaderboard, with their samba netting them just 12 points from the judges.
