Love IslandĀ is back on our screens, and already thereās been plenty of couplings, re-couplings, shock exits and new bombshells which have got social media buzzing.
Fans have had to wait longer for a new series of the show ā with nearly 18 months between this series and the Winter Love Island which saw Amber Gill and Greg OāShea crowned King and Queen ā but did absence make the heart grow fonder?

According to figures from BARB (broadcasters audience research board) which are provided by TV ratings systemĀ overnights.tv, the premiere attracted 2.47 million viewers.
While these numbers are impressive enough for a channel like ITV2 ā which isnāt one of the main terrestrial channels ā the fall short of Love Island 2020ās ratings, which saw an estimated 4.8 million tune in for the premiere.
