A weather presenter has left the BBC after reportedly calling it ‘the Devil’ and protesting against lockdown last year.
It comes after Jemma, 49, appeared to slam the broadcaster in a Covid-denial WhatsApp group back in October.
When asked if she worked for the BBC, she allegedly replied in the group: ‘Yes alas I work for the devil at the moment. I joined the corporation in 1999 when I was 28 and fully asleep. Comatose.’
Jemma also reportedly attended a march in Birmingham organised by Piers Corbyn last August, as well as a march in Cardiff in October.
A whistleblower reportedly spoke to Bristol Live and claimed that BBC employees were worried Jemma was putting them at risk and claimed Jemma believed Covid-19 wasn’t real.
When Metro.co.uk approached them for comment, a BBC spokesperson said that ‘Jemma no longer works for the BBC’ but did not elaborate on the reports.

Jemma previously declined to comment when approached by Bristol Live.
She was taken off-air for three months after footage showed her at the protests. Jemma is said to have last presented the weather in August last year.
Last year, she also pleaded guilty to drink-driving. She was banned from driving for 17 months and fined £440 at Bristol Magistrates’ Court.
Jemma began her career at the BBC in 1999 and moved to BBC Bristol in 2000.
Her BBC profile read: ‘Journalism is in my blood and I am confident about telling the weather story every day but weather is a science and I have put a lot of effort in to learn as much as I can about it.’
