Owl is the next celebrity to be unmasked on this week’s The Masked Singer, and it’s none other than daytime queen Lorraine Kelly.
Judges Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, and Jonathan Ross have spent weeks attempting to identify the celebrity performing in front of them.
And, after another round of mystery in tonight’s episodes, Eiffel Tower was left in a sing-off with Owl, with the other stars rescued by a vote, leaving the choice to the judges.
Emily Atack, Gabby Logan, and Alex Scott were among others who made wild guesses.
Lorraine was ultimately revealed after tremendous performances by Owl, Piranha, Dippy Egg, and Cricket, stating that she had ‘loved’ her time on stage.
‘I’ve never sang in front of an audience so it was amazing to do that.’
Lorraine sang Happy Talk by Captain Sensible, having previously demonstrated her vocal abilities with a rendition of Kylie Minogue’s Padam Padam.
Although the judges were confident Owl would be a football player or a Waterloo Road actress, the clues began to come into place after the singer’s name was revealed.
One of the clues was a ‘Celebrity Apple Juice’ bottle in Owl’s school locker, which led to a cameo appearance on Iain Stirling’s Celebrity Juice.
Meanwhile, the tangerines in Lorraine’s desk drawer were a tribute to her favourite football team, Dundee United.
And the ‘Cubee 2 Cubee’ coffee cub hinted at Lorraine’s appearance on The Cube with her daughter.
Lorraine pointed to ‘hilarity’ and ‘caricature’ in her riddle, alluding to Dawn French’s parody of her in Absolutely Fabulous.
Other signs from recent weeks included Owl saying, ‘I like to stir things up.’
And she was ‘happy chatting’, just like a presenter!
Before Owl was unmasked, Mo was convinced she would be exposed as former England captain Alex, promising to strip down to his ‘boxers and socks’ if he was correct.

‘I was astounded that the panel didn’t get me right away because I thought they would hear my Scottish accent,’ Lorraine said, following her unmasking.
‘I worked really quite hard to try and not be too Scottish, but I thought they would get me right away, and I thought it was hilarious who they were saying.
‘It was really funny. I was really pleased that they didn’t get me.’
Julia Sawalha was revealed as Bubble Tea last week, while Dionne Warwick has been unmasked as Weather, Pointless host Alexander Armstrong as Chicken Caesar, and Strictly judge Shirley Ballas as Rat.
Who will be the next celebrity among the remaining masked singers?
The Masked Singer airs Saturdays at 8pm on ITV1.
