This Morning’s Phillip Schofield and Phillip Schofield struggled to stop laughing as they saw a seal pee live on television on today’s show, forcing the programme to take an ad break.
The giggle attack was initially spurred when their guest Dr Scott revealed the rescued animal was called Freddie Mercury and that he ‘wouldn’t stop singing Queen songs’.
The presenting duo then immediately launched into hysterics when Dr Scott alerted them to the animal taking a leak as he joined the ITV daytime series live from the Thames.
‘Wow he’s having a wee on live TV, that’s lovely,’ he announced.
The cameraman then zoomed in on the seal as he lay on the shore to do his business.
‘Give the animal some dignity!’ Phil shouted from the studio. ‘Back off!’
‘They always do it, don’t they!’ Holly giggled.
The pair then laughed so hard they took the show to an impromptu break so they could regain their composure.
Viewers also delighted in the hilarious moment, with one writing on Twitter: ‘A seal weeing on TV is mondays highlight!!’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another penned: ‘As if they’ve just zoomed in on the seal having a wee,’ alongside crying laughing emojis.
Meanwhile, a third added: ‘The seal having a wee on live TV has made my morning!’
Never a dull moment on live television, eh?
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
