She continued: ‘So this time round, I’d like to be a little more mindful of others out there who are not where they want to be on their journeys to parenthood. I am obviously ecstatic about this announcement, yet I long to reach a loving hand out to anyone who is suffering.
‘I’m sorry. It’s not fair. I hope from the depths of my heart that you get what you want or find peace with what you have.
‘So much love to everyone out there, but especially to those whose paths have been rockier and darker than expected.’

‘I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
‘So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future.’
