Fans of The Masked Singer believe a specific Coronation Street actor is underneath Piranha’s mask.
So far this season, the likes of Lorraine Kelly and Melody Thornton of the Pussycat Dolls revealed to be the singers on stage, with the newest show disclosing Eiffel Tower and Air Fryer from beneath their masks, after their semi-final eliminations.
Only three vocalists remain: Bigfoot, Cricket, and Piranha.
While some fans are dissatisfied with a shared feature among the trio, others are still interested in determining who the celebrities are, and they believe they have figured out who is behind Piranha.
Piranha’s voices have impressed judges and fans from their early performance of Céline Dion’s It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.
Judges Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Devina McCall, and Jonathan Ross have guessed Danny Jones and Paddy McGuinness, but fans believe it may be Corrie actor Shayne Ward.
The 39-year-old originally appeared on The X Factor in 2005, winning the second series, so it’s apparent he has some excellent vocals – similar to Piranha’s.
None of the judges have guessed Shayne yet, but fans have in previous weeks.

‘I’m going for Shayne Ward as Pirahna. Won X-Factor in 2005 and was in Corrie. #MaskedSingerUK,’ @SuzDowson73 wrote.
‘Shayne Ward is piranha,’ @NinaThoday penned.
Fans are confused by rumours of a Brazilian-Portuguese-English lexicon, sketchbook, and Amazon fishing guides.
Many have thought it was ‘obvious’, with clues pointing to McFly’s trip to America and the motion sickness referencing McFly’s Motion in the Ocean album.
In the following weeks, spectators only strengthened their cases, with several hints referencing times in Danny’s boy band history, such as a link to the Royal Albert Hall, where McFly staged their tenth anniversary show.
Whoever it is, we earlier reported that Piranha’s outfit had to be ‘dialled down’ from the original concept when ITV producers sought adjustments for the completed appearance.
Tim Simpson, the costume designer for The Masked Singer, originally planned a scarier Piranha outfit because to the animal’s fearsome reputation in the wild.
However, ITV insisted on the persona being ‘softened’ in order to avoid scaring any children who were watching.
‘I wanted Piranha to be much more scary. We softened Piranha because I think there was a bit of a feeling that if we’d made Piranha quite as terrifying as I’d originally drawn him, the ITV audience might turn off and the children might be scared,’ Tim said.
‘So we did a little of dialling Piranha down and giving him a bit more of a lift to the side of the mouth.
‘I think it was a good choice, but there was a bit of me that just… I still want to put something terrifying out on stage and I know I’m not allowed to, and the producers are well aware of this.’
The Masked Singer UK returns on Saturday at 7.20pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
