The costumes for The Masked Singer UK 2024’s upcoming season have been revealed, and they are more stunning than ever.
The fifth season of the programme will premiere this weekend, with Joel Dommett returning as presenter and Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora, and Jonathan Ross charged with determining whose famous faces are behind the masks.
But first, the 12 outfits must be revealed before the guessing game begins.
Animals have once again inspired several, with Owl, Rat, Cricket, and Piranha among those poised to take the stage and scream out hits.
They’ll be climbing the Eiffel Tower, the Maypole, and Bigfoot, with the outfits only getting weirder from there.
Chicken Caesar and Dippy Egg are among the celebs who will appear in outfits resembling culinary items.
Weather, Bubble Tea, and Air Fryer round out the list.
Fans of the show have reacted positively to the new outfits, with many taking to social media to voice their thoughts.
Many others praised the effort that went into crafting Weather, with one calling it their “favourite costume EVER.”
Another individual agreed with them.
‘I’m gonna go out and say it, ONE OF THE BEST COSTUMES IN ALL OF TIME.’
Another added: ‘These costumes get wackier. What can’t be made into a costume these days.’
Speaking about the costumes, host Joel said he believed they were the ‘best ever’.
‘If they don’t make you smile, well, get out!’
Singling out Weather, Jonathan said he thought it was a ‘really beautiful, quite romantic, quite poetic looking costume’.
Earlier this week the show’s Christmas Special saw Sprout, Partridge (in a pear tree), Reindeer, and Decorations face off.
Partridge won after beating off his opponents, with the judges guessing everyone from Jamie Oliver to Alan Titchmarsh.
Taking off his disguise, however, the bird showed himself to be none other than Ainsley Harriott.
The Masked Singer starts on Saturday at 7pm on ITV1.
