The Masked Singer has been perplexing fans with the identity of Rat since the beginning, with a plethora of hints leading up to one key announcement tonight.
Bigfoot, Cricket, Dippy Egg, Maypole, and Rat appeared on stage in a special circus-themed edition of the already insane ITV show.
The fact that the Poison singer was absent while Olly Murs came as a special guest fueled speculation about Maypole’s identity.
Rat and Dippy Egg were eliminated from this week’s musical spectacular, while Maypole, Bigfoot, and Cricket were able to continue singing.
As Rat broke into its interpretation of The Village People’s YMCA, Dippy Eggs chose Shotgun by George Ezra, but only one could survive the reveal.
Unfortunately, the performance will not continue for Rat, since the fuzzy animal was unmasked and revealed to be Shirley Ballas.
Her accent had been confusing the judges, and she stated she was’so flattered’ by the names being called out.
Mo stated that her’movements were extremely good’ when the dance legend was revealed, and that the ‘risk’ hint was because she climbed Kilimanjaro.
The biggest shock of the night wasn’t even the big revelation; it was Shirley’s tattoos.
Olly’s jaw dropped when he enquired about the tattoo hint; it turns out the top Strictly judge has ink all over her buttocks.
Joel joked that it was Anton du Beke’s face permanently on her body, and she said that he always begs her to show it to her, despite the fact that it is not the fellow judge’s face.
‘No waaay! Didnt expect that,’ wrote viewer Bex on X after the reveal, as Kelly Muggs added: ‘Well @ShirleyBallas dressed as a rat singing Nelly The Elephant was NOT on my 2024 bingo card.’
Celebrities named after Rat include Mel C, Claire Sweeney, Kerry Katona, Jodie Whitaker, and Jodie Comer.
Last week, Pointless presenter Alexander Armstrong did a stunning performance of Under The Bridge by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Fans were stunned when famous singer Dionne Warwick debuted as the Wonderful Weather in week one.
Previous winners of the show include Girls Aloud‘s Nicola Roberts, Joss Stone, Natalie Imbruglia, and former guest panellist Charlie Simpson.
People believe they may have already figured out certain outfits based on reports regarding this year’s celebrity lineup.
Survivors of Dippy Egg may be Matt Lucas or Gregg Wallace dressed in food-themed outfits.
According to panellist Davina, Maypole might be Rita, singer Anne-Marie, or tennis player Emma Raducanu, based on hints.
Cricket is believed to be Levi Roots, Lemar, Stuart Broad, or David Gower.

Big Foot might be Ray Mears, Bradley Walsh, Hugh Laurie, or Nick Mohammed from Ted Lasso.
In addition to tonight’s performers, Owl, Eiffel Tower, Bubble Tea Piranha, and Air Fryer are also performing.
Lauren Laverne also appeared to make an almighty blunder live on TV, when she said: ‘A former Doctor Who will be making an appearance on The Masked Singer this season.’
The conversation moved on very quickly with no reference made to Lauren’s comment. Though, perhaps it was nothing…
The Masked Singer airs on Saturdays at 7pm on ITV, catch up on ITVX.
