Jenny Ryan from The Chase seems unrecognisable in an old shot of her participating on rival BBC quiz game Only Connect.
Jenny, 41, joined the ITV quiz show in 2015 and is known as The Vixen. She performs with other quizzers such as Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, and Anne Hegerty.
However, before becoming a regular on The Chase, she appeared on various other game series.
Her first TV appearance was in 2003, when she helped the University of Leeds go to the semi-finals of University Challenge.
Three years later, she appeared on Mastermind, specialising on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series, and appeared in both seasons of Are You an Egghead? in 2008 and 2009.
Then, in 2010, she achieved success on Only Connect as a part of the team The Gamblers, which won the third season of the show.

An snapshot from Jenny’s time on the programme has unearthed, showing her looking very different from her new character as The Vixen, a moniker given to her because of her red hair and ponytail.
On Only Connect, she had shorter, dark hair and smaller, square spectacles.
Jenny shared a throwback photograph on Instagram to encourage fans to watch one of the programmes she featured in over a decade ago tonight at 8 p.m. on BBC Two.
‘POV: It’s 2011 and your #OnlyConnect team are fighting to be crowned the champion of champions!
‘Tune in to this vintage Only Connect winner’s special on Monday at 8pm on #BBC2.’
Jenny appeared on Are You an Egghead? in addition to the other shows mentioned above. I have prepared questions for shows such as The Weakest Link and Fifteen to One.
Only Connect airs Mondays at 8pm on BBC Two. The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1.
