As aspiring entrepreneurs compete on The Apprentice, they can anticipate a taste of luxury, from flying to exotic locales to enjoying luxurious experiences if they win tasks.
Brushing shoulders with a Hollywood celebrity, on the other hand, may not be as common.
Mark Moseley was sacked by Lord Alan Sugar last night as the latest contender to fail to win the big dollars with an immersive experience set in a jail.
Mark told Metro.co.uk that one morning at the home where the 2023 cast was living, he strolled outside with a cup of tea and ran upon none other than Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot.
The hitch was that Mark had no idea who she was.
On a Sunday morning, I chatted with my next-door neighbour, Hollywood actress Gal Gadot. ‘I prepared a cup of tea at half six, seven o’clock in the morning,’ the pest control company owner recounted.
‘I stepped outside and we were informed Wonder Woman was next door, and I assumed she’d be 70 or 80 years old, since I was picturing someone like the original Wonder Woman.’
At seven o’clock on a Sunday morning, Mark stood outside with his tea and asked the woman next door, ‘You alright, how’re you doing?’
He stated that he ‘thought she was a cleaner or something’ until one of the house producers disclosed her identity by giving him a photo of her on their phone.
“I was like, oh my god, I was just speaking to her normally, I thought she was a cleaner. So yeah, it was pretty surreal,’ he added.
Mark suspected that Gal, who was in London in May last year filming the Netflix film Heart of Stone with Jamie Dornan, would not have been thrilled with the commotion he and the other Apprentice candidates made as they rushed out the door to their vehicles for chores.
He stated that they would run outside on the gravel at roughly four or five in the early hours, and would execute the shot ‘a few times’.
As they were doing so, they would occasionally observe the light at Gal’s house go on when they were trying to nail a take, leading them to believe she was bothered by the noise.
‘I didn’t know who she was to be fair and I was just sort of chatting away,’ Mark said about their nonchalant conversation, outlining how The Apprentice 2023 was filmed around April and May.
‘I thought she looked like a normal person,’ he added, having never watched her in her famous DC role.
The Apprentice returns next Thursday at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
