Susan Boyle made a rare public appearance over the weekend to support one of this season’s Gladiators.
The Britain’s Got Talent icon has put her support behind a fellow Scot, attending Kerry Wilson’s watching party to watch her take on the challenge of the BBC’s game show revival.
Kerry advanced to the quarterfinals, and her family and friends gathered for a special watch party last weekend.
Susan herself showed over to participate in the excitement, and she stood with the contestant for a grinning shot.
Kerry also shared a group photo of her loved ones excitedly watching at the bar, and she is overjoyed with the response.
She wrote in the caption: ‘ Quarter Finals Baby
‘What a night with the best family and friends at the ‘Watch Party’ that was some show @bbcgladiators put on!!!!
‘I even had a celebrity guest wanting to come watch too thanks for coming Susan We enjoyed every minute of that episode!!#giveitbeans #gladiators #contender2024’
The original programme was a major smash in the 1990s, pitting candidates against the hard-hitting Gladiators.
Bradley Walsh and his son Barney are leading the nostalgic resurgence, and Kerry has enjoyed becoming part.
She recently said: ‘To be a contender on Gladiators is absolutely surreal from watching it when you were younger to actually going to be on it – it’s awesome.’
Kerry stated during the inaugural episode that she did not apply for the programme herself, but that her wife Amber did.
‘I am literally speechless,’ said said after beating fellow contender Tasha in the first round. ‘That was the most incredible thing I have ever done. Thank you guys so much.’
