Sarah Snook, actress of the drama-comedy series Succession, paid homage to the final episode with a photo of her new baby.
The Australian actress, 35, has played the series’ main character, Siobhan Roy, from the first episode, which ended after four seasons on Monday.
Sarah has amassed a large internet popularity for her depiction of Siobhan, known as ‘Shiv’ in the series, and has won a Golden Globe and a Critics’ Choice Award for her role.
Sarah has offered a heartfelt homage to Logan Roy, whose death and the sale of Waystar Royco to Swedish investors brought the series to a stop.
On Instagram, she said: ‘It’s hard to express what this show has meant to me. The places I got to go, the immense talent I got to work with.’
‘It breaks my heart that it is all over. But my heart had to be this full of all the memories, good times, challenges and triumphs, to be able to break at all.’
She continued: ‘To have been blessed to join this crazy adventure of a show will be a career highlight, which will no doubt be hard to top.’
‘I am so, so proud and humbled by everyone’s hard work season after season: we all set the bar high for each other, then exceeded it,’ she added.
The back of a baby’s head, however, drew the attention of Succession viewers – Sarah confirmed she was pregnant at the season four premiere.
Fellow Australian actress Phoebe Tonkin commented: ‘Congratulations Sarah. (And a second congratulations on that little head too in frame too)’
A Sarah Snook fan account posted, ‘Love to see your little one watching with you!’ before joking: ‘You’re already a much better mom than Shiv.’
Shiv became pregnant with her estranged husband Tom’s kid at the start of the final season. The series concluded before the end of her pregnancy.
Shiv made the critical choice in the boardroom vote to sell her late father’s firm Waystar Royco to Alexander Skarsgard’s Lukas Matsson in the final episode.
In the process, Shiv’s brother Kendall, played by Jeremy Strong, was denied the opportunity to take over his father’s firm in a shocking climax.
