Several Strictly stars sent encouraging words, including Giovanni Pernice, who used a love emoji.
Krishnan Guru-Murthy, a newsreader who worked with Lauren on the most recent series of the BBC show, tweeted, ‘Sending loads of love Lauren xxx.’
‘Sending so much love Laurs,’ said pro dancer Nikita Kuzmin, while Dianne Buswell left a row of heart emojis.
Lauren first appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2022, alongside newbies Vito Coppola, Carlos Gu, and Michelle Tsiakkas.
The 2023 season was her first with a celebrity, and the pair was the sixth to be eliminated from the competition.
Following their elimination, she wrote in a heartwarming post on Instagram: ‘It’s kinda only just sunk in that this guy is my friend. The kindest soul, so patient & trusting with me and the whole process.
‘A role model, a professional, a tv legend and top journalist. Unafraid to throw himself into the unknown world of dance and embrace everything.
‘He has shown that you can do anything if you put your mind to it and just live in the moment. Don’t think, just dance .’
She concluded: ‘Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my dance partner, and letting me be bossy, in a good way (something that we both know doesn’t come very naturally to me ).
‘Thanks for teaching me so much, and supporting me too forever grateful.’
Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year.
