Strictly Come Dancing 2021 finalist Rose Ayling-Ellis is reportedly tipped to star in her first major role in a BBC drama, which focuses on a Deaf character.
The 27-year-old actress, who is partnered with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice, has been a fan favourite from day one, wowing judges with an array of spectacular routines.
It now like TV bosses are planning Rose’s next move once the series wraps, venturing beyond EastEnders.
Rose currently plays Frankie Lewis on the hit soap, and according to The Sun, the star start looking into other opportunities as well as returning to Albert Square.
An insider supposedly told the publication: ‘Rose has already shattered so many stereotypes during her time on Strictly and execs will be keen to see that continue once the show has ended.
‘Although she is committed for the foreseeable future to EastEnders, that doesn’t mean that she won’t be looking at her longer term prospects. Especially as she’s seen her profile soar as a result of sailing into the final.’
Speaking of the final, Rose and Giovanni will be taking to the dancefloor for one last time on Saturday, along with John Whaite and Johannes Radebe for the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington will unfortunately not be competing, after the TV presenter was forced to withdraw due to her foot injury.
During Friday’s final It Takes Two, Giovanni tearfully gushed about how privileged he was to partner up with Rose.
He revealed: ‘Personally I think Rose deserves the most beautiful things in the world, as her family said. She just realised that she can do everything she wants.
‘I think we made a big impact. You are the most beautiful thing that ever happened in my entire life so I’m very grateful and very privileged to be the one able to do the journey with you. So, thank you.’
The Strictly Come Dancing final airs tonight at 7.10pm on BBC One.
