Ranvir Singh and Giovanni Pernice’s performance on tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing left Motsi Mabuse in tears – while viewers couldn’t help but spot the ‘chemistry’ between them.
On Saturday’s instalment, Ranvir and Giovanni took to the dance floor where they set pulses racing with their Viennese Waltz.
After their performance, an emotional Motsi told them: ‘I have to say I was moved from your words from your VT, I think every mum has a connection with you.’
‘I feel like you have finally come into you,’ the judge continued. ‘Last week I asked for a little surprise and I did get a little surprise, it was such a magic moment, well done.’
Craig Revel Horwood added: ‘You told the story so naturally, it was totally real and totally believable. The frame was fantastic throughout.’
Shirley Ballas even branded the pair’s performance as ‘phenomenal’.
‘It was like poetry in motion,’ she commented. ‘
After receiving high scores and praise from the judges, viewers couldn’t help but comment on the pair’s ‘chemistry’ when they dance together.
Taking to Twitter after their stunning performance, one viewer tweeted: ‘The chemistry between Giovanni and Ranvia such moving performance.’
While another commented: ‘5 seconds into Ranvir’s dance and I am sobbing. Her acting, the look, the music, the chemistry. THE MOVES. It’s perfect.’
One added: ‘Oh my god so much chemistry between Ranvir and Giovanni that was beautiful.’
It comes after Ranvir told her dance partner that they ‘almost kissed’ while they were playing a light-hearted whisper game alongside her fellow competitors.
In the game, Ranvir had to wear a pair of sound-muffling headphones while Giovanni said a phrase, with the television presenter tasked with guessing what Giovanni was saying.
Ranvir quickly realised the phrase that she was guessing – the statement Shirley made about them almost kissing during her critique of their Argentine tango.
‘I know what this is!’ Ranvir said, covering her face and laughing as Giovanni said the phrase.
Later on in the clip, Giovanni read out: ‘And you almost kissed each other,’ to which Ranvir replied: ‘We almost kissed,’ as they both made pucker-up faces.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday on BBC One
