There’s a brand new horror film to check out on Netflix, with Fear Street Part One: 1994 arriving on the platform – only, viewers think they’ve seen its locations somewhere before.
Stranger Things fans have been quick to speculate online after spotting some of the same locations used in the new movie. As it turns out, they’re onto something.
Both productions were filmed in Atlanta and East Point, Georgia – and even share some of the same filming locations.
As one Reddit user pointed out: ‘The police station in FS is Hawkins Post!’
The Hawkins Post, which is the home of the local newspaper on Stranger Things, can be found at 6981 Main Street Lithonia in Georgia.
The location played a major role in the hugely popular sci-fi series, especially after Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) began working at the Post in season three.

While social media users are also convinced that Starcourt Mall from Stranger Things is also featured in Fear Street, sequences from the new film were actually shot in another mall close by.
Starcourt was filmed in the closed ‘ghost mall’ Gwinnett Place in Duluth, while the North DeKalb Mall in Georgia was renovated for filming on Fear Street.
The films certainly share locations around Georgia, though, and they’re not the only similarity the two projects share either
At first, fans believed the mall in Fear Street was the same one used in Stranger Things (Picture: Netflix)
