After earning an internship with Reese Witherspoon’s production firm, Stacey Solomon hopes to get into the Hollywood industry.
The star of “Loose Women,” who just starred in a new home repair programme from Hello Sunshine, will soon be seen by millions as “Sort Your Life Out” on the BBC.
Stacey, 33, will do a variety of DIY fixes for those struggling after faulty work from unscrupulous builders on her forthcoming programme, Bricking It.
On her Instagram Stories, Stacey revealed: ‘For a little while I’ve been talking to Channel 4 and a production company called Hello Sunshine which was founded by Reese Witherspoon.
‘And she created it to champion women in film and TV, she’s just incredible at building women up and putting them at the forefront.
‘They asked me if I wanted to make a show with them, and I was like, “Hell yeah, I’ll make a show with Reese Witherspoon’s production company,” they’re words I never thought I’d say.’
The excited mother of five is busy preparing for the arrival of her fifth child this summer, when she expects to begin filming.
She explained: ‘It’s basically gonna be a show where we go in and help people who have been done over by bad builders, run out of funding, and can’t finish their projects. And we’re gonna help them get to where they need to be.
‘I get to learn new skills along the way. So I’m gonna learn things that I have always wanted to do but I’m not confident with – like roofing, bricklaying, proper DIY.
