A new celebrity has been ousted from Celebrity Big Brother 2024 following a tough live episode in which Sharon Osbourne’s time was also up.
The new season premiered on ITV with AJ Odudu and Will Best hosting, and on Tuesday night, the pair presented live as the latest booted celebrity was announced.
Last Friday, Kate Middleton’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, was the first celebrity expelled, and just days later, the other celebs faced eviction via public vote.
Lauren Simon was the second celebrity eliminated from the show, and she quipped that she had already packed her bags.
Speaking to AJ and Will outside, she said she was ‘feeling overwhelmed… I had the most amazing time’
Fern Britton, Louis Walsh, and Lauren Simon were all on the verge of elimination when the celebrities nominated each other for the people they wanted out.
Zeze Millz was scheduled to be evicted, but Sharon Osbourne, as a special Big Brother lodger, opted to rescue her and replace Fern.
Sharon has also left the Big Brother house after her stint as a lodger ended — but she was first asked which participant had the’most lasting impression’ on her and who she would want to see in the final.
After much deliberation and initially saying that she couldn’t decide, she chose Strictly star Nikita Kuzmin because he is ‘wonderful inside and exterior.’
She also stated that Levi Roots had made a ‘lasting impression’ on her, while joking that she couldn’t select Louis Walsh.
‘He’s got something I’m looking for. He’s at peace with the world, he only wants good things.
‘And I really hope his daughters call him because they don’t know what they’re missing. Pick up the phone to your dad.’
In a previous episode, Levi revealed to Sharon that he had eight children by seven different women, and several of his daughters have already spoken out about a feud.
On Tuesday’s broadcast, former X Factor star Louis slammed Irish artists Jedward, calling them ‘vile’ but claiming they were fantastic for the show.
Chatting to Colson Smith, Louis said John and Edward Grimes, better known by their duo stage name, were ‘vile, but they were great, I got 5 million quid for them.’
‘I swear on my mother’s life,’ he went on. ‘But they were vile.’
‘But they were novelty, it was great for the show — and it was all about the show.’
Jedward did not take the insult lying down, and hit back on X with a claiming ‘
Louis Walsh is a cold hearted b*****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died.’
The twins’ mother, Suzannah, tragically died from cancer in 2019.
They described her as ‘our biggest fan, supportive and wanted us to go out there and express ourselves’.
Celebrity Big Brother returns Wednesday at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
